This innovative construction robot takes over installation execution, while allowing you to track project progress and status through data. Using digital plans, the Jaibot marks and drills holes, relieving construction workers from the strenuous task of overhead drilling and allowing them to focus on operation of the construction robot.

The Solution: The Hilti Jaibot

The Jaibot is a semi-automated construction robot designed for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and interior finishing installation work. With a completely cordless system that can work for up to 8 hours between charges and has a built-in dust removal system, the Jaibot is an easy to use drilling robot that does not require expert skills.

Increased Speed and Accuracy

With BIM, we're in the age of digital planning where engineers can contribute to the building process more efficiently, resulting in fewer issues on site, and producing more optimal system design. The Jaibot construction robot uses the same data for installation execution. To automate your jobsite with Jaibot:

  • Upload the data from Autocad or Revit to the Hilti Cloud
  • Import the jobfile via the rugged field tablet PLC 400 for layout applications
  • Locate the jobsite with the Hilti total station PLT 300
  • Jaibot will then drill all holes within its range autonomously according to the digital drilling plan, resulting in higher drilling accuracy due to a digitized process

Fewer Errors

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations can carry a number of potential challenges. Coordinating multiple contractors and different applications can be difficult and costly. Projects can also suffer from poor quality of installation.

With a construction robot like Jaibot, you can count on higher productivity and speed as it autonomously drills the holes according to the digital plan. The location, hole depth and diameter are defined by the drilling plan, culminating in fewer than ever errors, greater accuracy and cleaner holes. When marking and drilling, the Jaibot automatically syncs back to the system where you can track the current status of the project for documentation in real time.

Corrugated Metal Deck Ceilings and Concrete Walls

In support of complex ceiling types, the Jaibot can now identify and map installed profiles of corrugated sheet metal deck structures, align with the digital plans and automatically adapt planned drill holes to pre-defined installation zones.

To avoid obstacles such as existing installations or structural elements, the Jaibot can detect these objects and adjust its working area and arm movements accordingly. In addition, the Jaibot can now also drill and mark holes in vertical concrete walls at heights between 0.9 and 4.8 meters. As in the past, the Jaibot executes drilling tasks automatically while the intuitive user interface enables the operator to ensure optimal placement and control.
