Concrete edge distance in Profis Rebar wall to slab case

in wall to slab calculation always there is a minimum edge distance of 50mm from the edge of wall to edge of the slab,In my real case the wall is aligned with the slab as per the attachments. i need the calculation to show the alignment of the wall with the edge so that the edge distance from the wall to the slab will be zero(slab and wall is flushed)

Hello,

Thanks for contacting Hilti !

It seems you have entered the main content of your query into the tags section of the post but I believe I understand your concern. In such cases, there will always be a minimum of 50mm edge distance between the existing member edge and the new member edge. This requirement is coming from incorporating factors of preventing corrosion and splitting. This same limitation is also apparent for example in a beam to column connection. So when designing such rebar connections, this restriction will always be implemented.

I hope the above explanation has answered your query. Please let us know if you have any further concerns.

Regards,
Amad Qureshi
