Replacing washers of mechanical bolts after installation

Can we replace washers on mechanical bolts already installed (e.g. torqued to activate the 'legs')? Washer of the connection needs to be replaced so nut will be removed and new washer put in place.

Dear Ms. Mea,

Thank you for contacting Hilti!

Once the correct torque mentioned in the technical data sheets for Hilti Mechanical Anchors is applied, the bolt will drive the expansion sleeve into the base material and the exposed bolt will provide resistance as mentioned in the data sheets, against any applied loads. Replacement of the nut or washer should not affect the strength of the mechanical bolt but please note currently we do not have a tested result or published document regarding this process.

Hope the above has provided some clarification.

Regards,
