Re 500 application at high temperatures
One of my clients is specifying Re 500 V4 with HAS-U rod, but he has some concerns. The application is 12 mm and HAS U rods embedded in concrete columns as shear dowels. The problem is that the ambient temperature and base material temperature is 75 degrees. The specifier is using standard embedment depths as mentioned in the data sheet. the questions are :
1, Effect of high temperature on bond strength and embedment depth.
2, Chemical performance and other precautions
3, curing time
4, any chance of micro cracks.
