Fire-rated foam around fire-rated steel doors

Is it possible to use CP 620 as fire-rated foam between fire-rated steel door frame and fire-rated wall (Concrete or block)?
The frame is empty from inside, and the purposes from the foam are:
*Making sure that the steel frame are fixed with the wall.
*To close the gap between the wall and inside frame element.
And how much meter one piece of CP 620 (Cart. size 300 ml) can cover? or how much cartridges needed to cover 1 m3?

If yes, pls to share with us a proof document or UL.
If no, pls to propose the solution for such cases.

Hi Mutaz,

Thank you for contacting Hilti !

CP 620 may be used for fire rating an assembly consisting of steel door frame and concrete/block wall. The final judgement will be based on case dimensions. Solution will be an engineering judgement.

Since the CP 620 is not load bearing and its primary application is not adhesive applications, the performance of CP 620 as a "fixing" element will most likely be poor. There is no data to support this sort of application.

Regarding consumption, the CP 620 has a yield of 6 times so total volume from 1 cartridge can be considered as 1800ml. You may use this value for volume estimation.

Hope the above information has been helpful.
