This new standard consolidates, updates and replaces older design guidelines and technical reports (e.g. ETAG001, EOTA TR029) for fastener design. It's intended for structural and non-structural applications in concrete and brings all aspects of fastener design together into a single standard. It defines the design and specification rules for cast-in fasteners, post-installed mechanical and bonded fasteners and anchor channels.
As a design method for fastenings used to transmit loads to concrete, Eurocode 2 Part 4 is also a standard for checking the mechanical resistance of fastening components and the stability of base material. This is especially important for structural baseplate, facade, mechanical and electrical support applications.
We offer a range of engineering and technical services including design, onsite testing, calculation, quotes and training. Our team of specially trained engineers is here to provide you with a workable solution for any new design challenges caused by Eurocode 2 Part 4.
Our cloud-based anchor design software PROFIS Engineering Suite enables automatic and advanced calculating, easy specifying and integrated BIM modeling – tackling your projects with minimal effort and maximum accuracy.
Our anchor design software PROFIS Engineering Suite combines anchor and baseplate calculations helping to reduce overall design time. Fully compatible with the structural and BIM software Tekla, it makes data transfer and 3D modeling more straightforward. It will help you get your specifications right the first time! Automatic load transfers, simultaneous multiple load combination processing, and BIM / CAD model generation all help to reduce errors and rework.
Integrated data sharing provides immediate access to the most up-to-date design files and reports. This helps to improve transparency, to remove communication logs and to increase efficiency.
Eurocode 2 Part 4 stipulates that concrete will be considered cracked unless proven otherwise.
Make sure you chose the right anchor for cracked concrete!
